 Name: Takuto Kira Year/House: 6th Year Gryffindor Age: 17 Birthday: September 23rd Personality/Roles: Strong, stubborn, grumbler with a good heart and dedication to those he flails enough over to show he cares about, Meroko's Partner but not so eager lover interest, Watcher and Adopted Big Brother of Mitsuki, Izumi's personal chew toy. The Past Takuto started life without much. His young muggle mother left him at an orphanage as a baby, unable to cope with raising a child on her own. Finding out that he might have some strange magical powers according to her lover, who only told her he was a wizard on finding out she was pregnant probably contributed to the choice. Thankfully he was adopted quickly by Aoi Koga, a young muggle musician and his fiancée Hazuki Koyama since they wanted to start a family. For the few years he lived with the couple he was a happy child, apart from the small bump in the road on finding out Hazuki was going to have her own baby. Despite his youth, Takuto was fussy, thinking the baby would replace him. Seeing this, Aoi decided to show the boy he would still be part of the family by letting him pick the baby's name. After reading out a lot of choices from baby books, the little boy decided the child’s name would be Mitsuki, much to the joy of his foster parents. The baby girl did get named this, after she was delivered in the midst of a traffic accident, causing her parents to die. Takuto was distraught at the loss of his family, partially blaming the baby for bringing about their end. After this he was taken in by a family friend of Aoi, a young doctor called Keiichi Wakaoji. With time, Takuto grew to be content living with the other man. When he was older he found out Aoi and Keiichi were musicians, and quite popular, though the doctor quit to go back to medicine when his friend died. He let the boy listen to the old Route: L CD’s, and saw Takuto become more and more interested in music. When he came to Keiichi saying he wanted to be a singer and be a success in Aoi’s memory, the doctor offered great support. He gave Takuto lessons in song writing and vocals, the boys enthusiasm and talent driving him on, and he even won a few talent contest prizes for his efforts. The boy even promised himself that he would look after Mitsuki once he was old enough and support the both of them with his career. Sadly, tragedy struck when Takuto was thirteen and began to complain of pains in his throat. After some tests, Keiichi found that the boy had a tumour called a sarcoma that would eventually kill him. The only way to stop this would be to remove it from his throat, so he quickly prepared the youngster for surgery. However, while waiting in intensive care, Takuto overheard the nurses discussing his operation, and discovered a shocking truth Keiichi hadn’t told him; going through the surgery would mean his vocal chords would be removed, and it would cost him his voice. Horrified by the very thought of not being able sing, both for his love of music and his dream of being a success for Aoi and Mitsuki, Takuto felt betrayed by Keiichi, escaped from the ward and hurried to the roof of the hospital. Keiichi chased after him and tried to persuade the boy not to do anything foolish, and that he just wanted what was best for him, so he wouldn't die. Takuto told him that if he would never be able to sing again, death would be preferred, and threw himself off the roof... |
Current Life Some time passed before Takuto woke in a strange place called The Center, and was told he had been in coma for a quite a few months, with no one being sure if he would have ever woken up. Apparently he had been taken in after his attempted suicide. However, this barely registered to the boy, as while he had survived the jump, (apparently due to his magical genes lately manifesting) his memory was scrambled and disjointed. He could recall bits of pieces of his past, but thinking about it too hard made his head hurt. He was told there was a chance he would remember eventually, but if he wanted a fresh start they could wipe his memory clean, and he could start anew by working with them, as well as attending Hogwarts starting from third year. Takuto agreed to take the job and school position, but despite the pain he felt from time to time, he wanted to keep trying to remember his life, feeling there was something important he needed to do. For this reason, he also persuaded them to let him go without the operation for his tumour, believing it had some connection to his past. Pretty soon he was assigned an experienced partner called Meroko Yui, and while Takuto’s health problems meant they bumbled their assignments somewhat, he continued to strive on, even putting up with Meroko’s declarations of love as best he could, though he suspected there was still something between her and her former partner, but didn’t think it his place to ask. Their latest assignment is only adding further confusion; that of watching a young girl who apparently only has another year to live. While watching her, Takuto’s headaches come on rather strongly, though he’s been taking potions to deal with the pain so he can act normally.
